  1. there’s a book called the ultimate wedding planner, it’s most concise. check it out>>>>>
    http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Wedding-Planner-Organizer/dp/1887169245/sr=8-2/qid=1165089690/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/104-8773281-3320741?ie=UTF8&s=books

also try, the knot: ultimate wedding planner>>>>>

go to this website as well>>>>>
    http://www.theknot.com/

    congratulations!!! best wishes!!!

  2. I used http://www.theknot.com. Worked great.

  3. I have this wedding planner from Wedding Solutions
    http://store.weddingsolutions.com/product_info.php/cPath/79_44/products_id/98241.

I think it is a great planner. I was in the same boat not knowing anything about what I should be doing but this helps out alot. It has pictures and step-by-step things you should do and ask. I keep all my receipts in here too.

I also use the knot.com because they have some checklists that the planner doesn’t. It has help me so far and I still have 9 months to go.

    Congratulations!!!

  4. There are many book and articles in magazines and newspaper out there to help you with your big day. Planning a wedding can sometimes be a little overwhelming. My favorite book to refer to is The Bride’s Year Ahead: The Ultimate Month-by-Month Wedding Planner by Carol Ross and Marguerite Smolen. It really helps to get things in order and ready on time. Another hint, getting help from a professional can really take a lot of pressure off. Good Luck and Congratulations!!

  5. I second the suggestion of the Knot (www.theknot.com). It gives you month by month steps of what you should be doing. There are also millions of articles, dresses, cakes, pictures of ceremonies…it’s the best! And congrats!

  6. There’s a great new book called Etiquette published in Dec 2005 by Peggy Post. It has a huge section on weddings. Also, The Bride’s Book of Etiquette is a good one. Both are terrific resources. Go to http://www.topweddingquestions.com where wedding experts will answer all of your planing questions online, free!

  7. http://www.theknot.com is my SAVIOR!! The girls on the message boards (especailly the local ones) can be so helpful! You can get recommendations from real brides on vendors and great suggestions for many things, such as do it yourself whatever. I’ve gotte so much help from there ad so many ideas!

The tools this site offers are very valuable also. The guest list, to do list, budgeter help you organize everything!! Definately check it out. You can even make a simple wedding webpage, doesn’ thave to be fancy.

  8. Miss Manners’ Guide to Wedding is the BEST.

Also, The Everything Wedding Book (stupid title and cover, great contents) is good.

Most of the others I have seen are kind of crummy and also gave really bad etiquete advice.

You might also check the message boards at etiquettehell.com for some great helpers.
