How would you suggest one get into the wedding planning business?

Tagged Under : , , , , ,

I’ve been planning my wedding for the past year or so and I’ve found that it all comes so easy to me. I love doing the research and finding new ideas and creating it all and I just think it’s so much fun. Any ideas on how to get started?

  1. I am a Certified Wedding Specialist. There are courses (Home Study) that you can take. I personally took a course through Weddings Beautiful -it’s an Association that is a part of the National Bridal Service. The course was about $500 and you go at your own pace. There is also another association called ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants). They also offer a wedding consultant course. Both associations offer membership within their organization an offer seminars and courses (in different locations) throughout the year for career development. Also some community colleges now offer event planning or wedding planning courses so you can look into your local schools for that option also.
It’s a misconception that anyone can be a consultant. Technically anyone can but it gives you an edge if you have a certification behind you. It’s like the difference between saying your a doctor and being a licensed doctor. There’s more to it. You have to have an understanding of etiquette, working with vendors, working with brides, working within different budget levels and have a creative mind to boot. You can definitely do it as a side job to start out. I currently do. It’s the kind of thing that you can set your own hours so don’t let that discourage you. Start building a portfolio of work so you can show people and subscribe to a few wedding magazines. They will help you keep up with current wedding trends etc. Check out the links below and good luck.

  2. Generally this is the day. You need have your relatives
take the coverage pictures, at beautiful weddings of
Paris,London, and Milan we have great results since the
use of the cd storage for photographs, more designs.
You will have fun with this area. Get a list into the kiddee
bags of how to bake a cake for honeymoons, for some
good ideal children moments at the events. The designs
with some of the happiest recent trends in childrens tiny
thoughts include rainbows, aquarium fish, and ponies.
These pads are right there at dollar stores. The most top
interest is in those honeymooners that wait and go in a
shoppers group. Check out places with bonanza shopping
the weeks of the event. Our travel is scheduelled with these
points at royal majesty, mtv, princess dawn, the huge
ships we recently launched for the 2000. They are 2000+
feet long, and there are only 2 or 3 out there at a time.
Cunard, Renaissance, Olympian, and those are same sites. How to get people together is something to read about. Also the event need coverage at the church or
temple, don’t rely on the family cameras until you have that
feature organized. You don’t want to wait and ask for pix
at random. The entertainment is another sticker. Get
good entertainers. Kids, rare collectables, and oldees
do not expect much, this is a young adult day. A deejay
with a band is the fullest music show. Check that out at
local radio station experts for what bands make the list.
Make sure you double check this choice before you hire.
Time is another point, older can do receptions for dinner.
Kids not bad for later, though teen attendance can be
spotty if there are any adult crowds in the building.
Receptions need have nutritional foods for a success.
Nowadays a buffet for fish choices is the top performer.
A two skillet chef for meats, and a 3 fish choice is fine.
Also get the buffet price that is charged for local buffet.
Here is an item to haggle for 10 dollars a plate tops. The
country clubs charge enough extras as it is. Also give the
left overs to your own neighbors. This gives you a great
way to check on credibility. Blessings for a sacred and
full event of the harvest happiness. Peace, Love, Faith.
