I don’t have my dress, no cake, no place to have the ceremony, no centerpieces, favors, no clothes for the court. I have no money left. My in laws are covering the food
And entertainment. My fiancé works but he only comes in with 400 or less every two weeks. I told them to wait. No, they wouldn’t listen. So now, my wedding is going to have tons of guests but in a small venue with simple decor because it was supposed to be a simple family and friends wedding. What the heck?! Where is David tutera when I needed his magic!?:( I’m seriously over it and just want to elope.i know the economy sucks right now. But you only get married for the first time once….

2 weeks?? OMG. Plus no money? Your screwed. You have to get a dress PRONTO! And get a cake from a local bakery.
It sucks, but it’s about the commitment, not all the other stuff…..
Just buy a white dress.. it doesn’t HAVE to be a wedding gown.

They plan an entire wedding in 2 weeks. If they can do it, men (and we know how useless they can be) if men can do it in 2 weeks. You can too.
How about, if you are this stressed….you delay the wedding. If you really think you can sort it out.
Would you rather delay the wedding and have the perfect wedding in 2 months time?
Or would you rather have the wedding in 2 weeks and forever be disappointed with how it turned out?
Like you said, you only get married once…..well hopefully just the once.
If you CAN’T postpone the wedding, here’s afew things you might want to consider. Get a cake from your local grocery store, get your flowers there too. Wear a white dress, doesn’t matter if its a bridal gown or not.Get married in a local park, it’s usually Free. and visit Thrift stores, Dollar tree stores, etc. Might be surprised what you find.

Why wasn’t all these planned months ago or why didnt you both save up? You two are the ones that had the responsibility to get things done. How the heck are you going to support yourselves on $400 every 2 weeks?
Okay. Breathe in, and breathe out.
The answer is quite simple for your situation.
Go to your local JCPenney, Belk, Macy’s & buy a simple gown, under $200, most are between $70-$150. Go buy you a simple 3 tier wedding cake from Walmart or Sam’s. Or get a sheet cake. Serve your guests cake & punch in a light reception as you thank them. And you will be fine! Congrats!
