Where did you get your education, did you go to college? I’m probably going to go to college, so what kind of courses do I need? One college offers hospitality and tourism and focuses on travel stuff. I really want to do weddings and parties. I don’t know where to get enough experience, I’ve already volunteered at a bridal gown event helping brides with dresses. But I need more. I live in Washington state, so if you know of anything that’d be helpful in this state that’d be great. Do you work at home or for someone/company etc?

My husband and I met when I was 17. An old friend of mine hooked us up, at the time I was really lonely.. My mom never let me go out, only once in a while even though I was an ok kid I didn’t feel like putting up a fight. For some reason I remember being happy because I didn’t want to leave adam and I was actually pissed because I was 18, and I was sick of my parents controlling me, yes they were still insanely controlling and I couldn’t stand it! Anyway, my parents asked me to go with them even though I was pregnant because my parents weren’t too fond of the way adams parents were. I didn’t want to at all, I wanted out… as soon as I possibly could. So I was for once in my life free, and it felt awesome. Anyway, I made good choices. We stayed with his brother and his gf I got a job and we did pretty well and are still doing awesome. He makes a lot of money now and life isn’t that bad. Other than the fact that Its still hard for me to have feelings for him, or to love him? We got married in July of 2010. A month before the wedding I text my husband and told him I didn’t want to marry him. In fact the reason why we were getting married was because of me. What I told him was “if we’re not going to get married than why should I be with you, what is the point?” That is what I thought of at that time.. I wish I never said that but I “was” super religious at the time. Not so much anymore. Anyway, so I text him I didn’t love him, and I wouldn’t answer his calls and his mom came over. she was angry. There were other times where I didn’t want to be with my husband, I would always give “reasons” why when really the real reason was because I don’t love him. His mom said “what she doesn’t love him?” on the phone while she was at my house. At the time I didn’t even want to believe that, I just thought, no its because of this, this and this. My husband pissed me off a lot. (not so much anymore).
There were many times I told my husband I wanted to break up. He never, ever took it seriously. I threw my rings at him before too he‘d get so defensive. So I had this idea in my head for a while, the only way I could get out of this relationship is to cheat on him. So… I had this idea in my head, though I never ever, ever thought it would ever happen. I thought , there wouldn’t ever be an opportunity. Soooo.. That may not be the case. Although I didn’t cheat on my husband, I almost did. I went to my husbands Christmas party, got drunk and my husbands brothers wife grabbed me and we went to a bar with some of the guys my husband works with, my husband didn’t come. So when I saw this “cute” guy there, whom works at the same place as my husband, ive seen him before and played Frisbee with him and some girls in the summer time. (btw, I was SO drunk, I didn’t even know I could get that drunk cause it had been so long) So I was pretty much flirting with him and grabbing his hand from what I remember (there were a few black outs) although he said “he cant., or no” I said why? And he said, “because I couldn’t do that to adam” so I guess it was closing time (I didn’t realize till he told me so, because I asked him where all the ppl were and he said it was closing) so he walked me to the door and told me if I wasn’t with my husband he would F the **** out of me.. Weird. Anyways, I saw a cab and ran in there and went to see my husband and I passed out at home, woke up in the morning and walked down stairs and laid on the couch and BAM all those horrid memories came back of the night before. I was devastated the whole day. And thought “I cant live with this lie” (even though I am living a lie right now, it doesn’t feel as bad) so, I told him sometime during the afternoon, he was pissed and hurt, I was so upset I hurt him that bad. Then after that I said “why don’t you just break up w/ me”. But he wont. The real reason why I wont just leave is possibly because I am very fearful about what will happen when I leave. I guess u can say I am afraid of the unknown, or all the anger/sadness/drama that could possibly come with divorce…but i dont…know

So my boyfriend has been asking what kind of engagement ring I want for the past 6 months or so, but his requests have been getting more urgent, lol. I think he has a proposal planned for our five year anniversary in april.
I wasn’t really sure what I wanted but I’ve been thinking it over. I know I don’t want a diamond for various reasons. For a while I was thinking about getting a more non-traditional stone like a black diamond, onyx, moonstone or opal. My boyfriend has suggested just getting a plain band because he didn’t really understand how engagement rings work. (he was best man for a friends wedding so he had to hold on to the rings and thought that the bride just had a band for her engagement ring so I had to explain that she was already wearing a diamond engagement ring, that was just the wedding band) At first I brushed that idea off, but the more I’ve thought about it, the more I don’t think I want a ring with a stone on it. I think a plain band would be much better. I don’t really wear rings much and I don’t want to wear something that would catch on things and I kind of like the simplicity of a plain band.
So I was talking it over with the boyfriend and told him that I think I just want a band. But most couples don’t wear the bands until they are actually married so I told him I don’t really need an engagement ring, we could just buy some nice matching bands when we get married. He is set on the idea that I need an engagement ring though. So I suggested maybe just being a cheaper ring for an engagement ring (i.e. around $50) and then saving the money for the bands later. But the thing is, I don’t really want to wear a ring with something sticking out of it for the next year plus. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, but not ideal.
So, questions: would that be weird to have a cheap engagement ring now that I wouldn’t wear after we get married? Would it it be weird if I didn’t wear it all the time? What if I didn’t have an engagement ring at all? Would having a plain band for an engagement ring be weird too?
We’re not terribly traditional (he is more than me) and are planning on doing a courthouse ceremony with a reception afterward. I wanted to elope, but he wanted a wedding so we compromised…
so my ex and I were together for a year, and engaged. he was amazing. truly awesome. He accepted my son and I and was a great partner. We went through a really really tough time finacially, and emotionally. I have alot of baggage with my ex husband and it was really tough on relationship.
anyways… he is in the navy and back in september he went away on a mission to FL. He was gone for two weeks. the night before he left we were fine, we had plans on our wedding and everything like that. Well the day he got into fl we were fine, we got into a fight about our fincial situation. Then after that he totally changed. he ignored me for days, would not talk to me at all. I also found out that he cheated on me with a stripper ( he denies it ) whatever. I let it go, and its been three months and we havent had any contact really. Well over the weekend i ran into him. He texted me later that night saying he missed me, and it was hard for him. I met up with him to talk but when I got there he was very intoxicated so I left. He texted me saying he was sorry for being drunk, but its the only way he could deal with the pain, and asking me to come back and give him a goodbye hug and kiss.
I am still extremely in love with him, and do miss him. I have gotten no answers as to why he did these things, and literally over night he walked out of our lives with no explinations. I still want to talk to him to get these answers, but am not sure if it will do any good. He agreed to meet tmrw to talk about everything that has happened. Anybody have any good advice about this? He keeps going back and forth about wanting to talk about what happened than not..
Why is he acting like this? how could someone who proposes to you and tells you they love you forever just completely walk out of your life. 
Hi there. So I’m engaged. I’m wanting to start planning my wedding but don’t know how to go about it. I have 2 children with my fiancé ages 3yrs and 6months. Both their birthdays are in July, 3 days apart. I’m wanting to get married in July and combined their birthdays with my wedding. We’re only young and are not made of money!! So I need advice on how to pay for the wedding? I don’t believe in asking my parents to pay for it. What are some other ways? I was thinking jumping castles, pony rides, pet farm, etc like a mini carnival for the children during the day then do the reception for the adults into the night. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to combine kids party and a wedding?
I had a baby 9 weeks ago ( a little boy <3 ) Love him to death but got some serious stretch marks from my pregnancy. Not in the common places too… I have them on my caves and thighs no where else thankfully …Im in a wedding in june ( a bridesmaid) and im wearing a beautiful little dress and really would love ne tips on how to lighten the look or possibly even get rid of some of these stretch marks ? Any ideas?!
