I am wearing a silk dress with delicate lace. It’s a short dress, just below my knees for justice of the peace ceremony. I want something that’s equally as delicate for the flowers the wedding is in April.

Did You Ever Catch The Bouquet And Marry Soon After Or Meet The Guy You Would Marry After?

Okay, I know it’s a silly tradition… may or may not have some truth to it but it’s all lighthearted fun and tradition. Think about it, all the single ladies up for grabs will eventually marry – it’s just their own time. What’s funny is that this past year, I’ve already been learning and content with myself. I stopped with the mr. right nows and just wanted to wait for the right one. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy myself, my friends/family, and keep learning. From then on, I didn’t rush into anything; didn’t make decisions based on solely feelings; was tested soo many times (w. mr. right nows); I just got smarter, I guess. I’ve always been the single girl (w. few relationships here and there and have dated many) but this time, I am the most stubborn person EVER when others have tried to convince me what I want/need. Most of the time I’ve been content but go through some bipolar-ness about love: one minute, I give myself faith that it will happen when it will and feel good about it, then the other times you feel like there’s no decent, kind-hearted men of dignity that exists and worse case scenario: you settle w. someone you’re “okay” with.
So guess what? The bride threw the bouquet and it was almost like in slow mo (I swear to God). There were about more than 10 women around me – they all literally jump as I stood, looked up, put my non-dominant hand up and literally just fell into my hand. I swear to God… craziest thing ever. And it’s not like I’m getting married soon but maybe I’ll meet the guy. So.. just curious to hear your stories…

~was Catherine To Leave Her Bouquet?

Tagged Under : , , ,

I had read that a custom started with the present Queen’s mother would happen today; that Catherine would leave her bridal bouquet at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Westminster Abbey. I understand that it was a custom started at the 1923 wedding of the present Queen’s mother since her brother, Fergus, died in France during World War 1. The present Queen left her bouquet there after the ceremony on the way out and her mother had left her bouquet on the way in before approaching the altar. I was watching today, and Catherine didn’t leave hers, which surprised me since she is now a military wife. Was it a gaff or didn’t she plan on doing it, despite reports that she would?
WONDERFUL ceremony and thank you, thank you, thank you, England, for allowing us to view it on TV! Thanks for the invitation! It is so nice to see a young couple in love actually get married BEFORE they have children! Makes a refreshing change.
May they have a wonderful, long and loving life together with mutual respect and honor. God bless them all.

Wedding Bouquet Question?

Let me first say I am on a very tight budgets. I am thinking of doing a Cherry Blossom theme for our wedding. I have loved cherry blossoms since I was young and I love everything they symbolize and it just so happens my fiance has Japanese in him. Cherry Blossoms are long branches and hard to mis in with bouquets and I can’t seem to find any at a price for my budget so I was thinking of using them for centerpieces, cake, favors, and other little things.
So, instead of my bridesmaids holding bouquets I was thinking of getting them fans with Cherry Blossoms painted on them or something? What do you think?
I was also thinking of a baby’s breath bouquet for myself (possibly bridesmaids if I don’t do the fans)…. will baby’s breathe go well with the Cherry Blossom theme?
