Man finds jelly bean with striking resemblance to Kate Middleton
A 25-year-old accountant has found Kate Middleton’s face in a jelly bean. Yep. Wesley Hosie and his girlfriend, Jessica White, noticed that a mango bean in the jar they had purchased from the Jelly Bean Factory featured an uncanny resemblance to Prince William’s future bride, the Telegraph reports.
As Jessica opened the jar, I saw her immediately. She was literally lying there staring back at me,” Hosie said.
And the pair immediately saw an opportunity in their blessed jelly bean.
“Given that the royal wedding is only a few weeks away, we hope to make a few pounds out of it by selling it on the internet to a collector.”
The couple plan to sell it on eBay for 500 (approximately $815), though considering one of Middleton’s old dresses sold for $125,000 and the Royal Wedding frenzy is in full force, we believe they can garner a good deal more for the bean than that.
There’s the distinct possibility that this could be a hoax, but who knows? If it is real Kate will always be able to say that she’s sweet!
Can someone say someone with too much time on their hands or a big lie/hoax?

Help With A Candy Buffet…?

Tagged Under : , , ,

My fiance and I want to have a candy buffet at our wedding but I’m not sure on a few things…so here it goes!
1. How much candy should we buy? (we are inviting 185 people)
2. Where should we buy the candy from? ( I’ve found places online I’m just not sure about buying candy online, has anyone done this?)
3. Which do you think would be better, sticking with candy in our wedding colors or doing a buffet of our favorite childhood candies?
4. If we did candies in our colors (hot pink, bright orange and yellow as an accent color, very bright and fun) what kind of candy would be a good idea?
Also my fiance thought it’d be nice to do a “mini buffet” on each table so it’d be the favor and center piece. But the more I think about that I’m not sure if it would be worth it. If we did that we could only put 3 or 4 different candies on the tables, so would it really be all that different from making little boxes of candy ourselves and having them put out? If you went to a wedding with a “mini buffet” at the table what would you think of it?
Sorry for all the questions, just really in need of some opinions. Thanks!!

Candy “bar” Favors At Wedding?

Tagged Under : , , ,

I am getting married in August and am looking at ideas for favors. My biggest dilemma is that whatever I think of to give the guests, I can think of a demographic that won’t enjoy it. I’ve been seeing a lot of ideas for candy bars (bar as in buffet) with lots of types of candy. I was entertaining this idea and thought I could get some nice personalized boxes for guests to put the candy in. I could also include some sugar free candy as an alternative. Not sure if I would do it in my wedding colors or not.
From looking online and asking around, I’ve gotten a pretty positive response; however, I have seen some opinions that it is pretty much not fancy enough or is tacky.
What does everyone think? I like the idea since people can choose what they want; however, I don’t want to do something that is perceived as cheap!
