Wedding Planning Tips

In August of 2009 I attended my friend’s wedding ( I was friends with both the bride and groom). Since I was close to both of them I decided to make them a scrapbook that had pictures of their relationship, quotes, etc. It probably took about 15 hours to put together and quite a bit of money. I never received a thank you for the gift. I waited a couple months then began to ask others if they received a thank you (I thought perhaps it got lost in the mail?). One girl I spoke to also never received a thank you. She was dead broke and actually had to borrow money to buy them a gift! Honestly I would have been fine with even a text saying “thanks” to at least acknowledge the gift.
We have lost touch after the wedding since we live quite a distance from each other. We actually haven’t even spoken for two years. So last week I received a card in the mail saying that she is expecting and is registered at “xyz store.” I’m kind of offended because it just feels like they only care to contact me when they are wanting a gift. One one hand I don’t want to send them a gift because I know it won’t even be acknowledged but on the other hand it’s for the baby. What would you do?

at our wedding, we are using small photo frames as place card holders. they are also going to double as a favor for guests. i want to put a cute poem on the place card table to let guests know that they are their favors and to take them home.

I’m planning on using frames for the escort cards and putting a pic of me and my fiance behind the card and the guest take the frame and pic as favors…my issue is, if I make one for each person, some families could be going home with 4+ frames with our pic, lol! I would also like to save the money as well…I have one family going that has 4 kids! I know they don’t need 6 frames kickin’ around their house, I know I wouldn’t want it, lol!
So what is the proper wording? Should I say something like “Smith Family, Table 2″ I was also thinking of having their first names “around” the heading…any thoughts?
I’m getting married in 9 days!!! But I’ve been thinking about this for months, and getting all kinds of conflicting info from friends and family…

The RSVPs were sent to my in-law’s home because mail is not reliable in our apt. complex. We went over the seating this past week-end and my Mother-in-Law wants to use 1 place card per couple/family. This means that there are going to be a lot of left over place cards. I wanted everyone to have their own box of candy.
Should I let it be or tell my Mother-in-Law that this is how we want it?

Sony keeps announcing mixed stuff. saying maybe the credit card info is stolen or maybe it isnt. what if they did take everyones credit card info? what should i do i’m really scared. it’s my dads and it has thousands. Also, Sony didnt meet up with their deadline saying it would be up by tues or wed, anyone have any idea when it’ll be back up?

My sister is pregnant and is also planning on getting married in August. She has asked me for money instead of a present, which is fair enough. I was planning on ordering a card from Funky Pigeon (I can personalise and I already have credit in my account there) and then pop in some money and send it recorded via royal mail.
The cards on the site are either unrelated or post wedding/birth, not pre. Any idea’s? I also want a nice picture printed inside, but that isn’t a problem.

I’m supposed to design wedding invitations for my brother but I don’t know what the RSVP card should say.
Normally I would just copy from the internet, but all the ones I’ve found are in “fill in the blanks” format where you would have to mail those cards back. I’m planning on just including a phone number and email address because I think most guests would rather have it that way anyways.
Please help me since I’m really bad with words! Instead of writing “please call or email me back by May 20″, what can I write to make it sound more fancy and formal? Thank you!

So I got an RSVP card back for my wedding which is in the beginning of May. On some of our invitations we put, ‘we regret that we will not be able to accomodate babies and children.’ On an RSVP card that I got back, it listed the couple’s name and the child. At the bottom it had an asterik that said, If our daughter is too young to come, we regret that we will not be able to attend First, the daughter is 6 and we’re not having kids at the wedding except for our immediate family. What is the proper way to respond back basically saying, sorry she’s too young, sorry you’re going to miss a good time…I have no idea how to react to that…

If I purchase nice placement card frames, can this be considered the wedding favor? If so, then is it okay that a married couple only receive1 wedding favor?

So i go to take pictures with my canon rebel xs, using a 4GB sd card. I take the card out of the computer & put it into my camera.
And the camera says that the memory card isn’t formatted with this camera.
The thing is, i have hundreds of photos in there – some for a very important science project- and they were all taken with this camera.
I’ve been using this camera the whole time, and this memory card for a couple years and its never given me problems.
I’ve had computer virus problems lately & i think it has something to do with it.
But I am freaking out!
I put the memory card in the camera & it says that i need to format it. it wont let me see my pictures that are on there (including my mom’s wedding photos!!), and that i have to format it. But if I format it, then all my pictures will be erased!
I hope there is a way to recover it.
I have no idea what to do. Please help me.
