I Need Help With Centerpieces At A Reception.?

I want a candle garden as a centerpiece for my reception. My colors are blue and orange (my favorite color is blue and my fiance’s is orange). For the base should I go with a round base, square base, or rectangle?
As for the candles I’m stuck between using 1 tall white candle, 1 medium orange candle, and 1 small blue candle with nature rocks surrounding them. But I don’t know what color base I should try and find.

Or I can get 1 tall White candle, 1 medium white candle, 1 small white candle and either have (if i use this one I’m going to look for those flame-less candles)
1.)blue and orange gems (i can’t remember what these are called but they are the colored glass looking rocks you can put in your vases and fish tanks.) mixed together
2.) half the candle gardens have blue (maybe with an orange base) and the other half have orange (maybe with a blue base)
3.) half of the candle gardens will have a blue base and the other have will have orange and all with have those nature stones or even those clear colored gems.
I’m also trying to figure out how to add the flowers in there. Maybe for the square and circle base I can put 1 tall skinny vase with a flower in it (it will either be calla lilies or casa blanca lilies)
Also what kind of stuff can I use to decorate around the candle garden. Confetti, blue orange gems, flower peddles, etc. I was going to have my wedding favors kind of form a circle around the centerpiece in the places where the guest’s plates would be. If I use the candle holders as favors I’ll be either using blue and orange tealights or those white flame-less tealights.

Which of these would look better? Would having candle holders as favors be over doing it on the candles? Is there anything you would do different, add, change, etc? I’m trying to get as much ideas as possible. I want it to be simple yet elegant.
