Wedding Planning Tips

I’m having my ceremony and wedding reception in the same room, my situation is a little different then some of the ones I’ve read on here. My situation is this…we will have the ceremony and then once the ceremony is over I planned on leaving with the bridal party and parents to go get pictures done. Then come back to the venue for cocktail hr before dinner but our venue requires an hr to set up the reception area. That is why we decided this would be a good time to get our pictures done. I’m just not sure what to do with the guests that won’t be coming to get photos done. There is a restaurant in the venue, or is it even my responsiblity to worry about this??? Please help!!!

If there is, how much? I am planning a wedding in Bangkok, Thailand, but we have no idea if there’s a customary church fee or we just need to voluntarily “offer” to the church.

Mi sister had two wedding one in NY and the other one in my home country. The NY wedding was grate and come out perfect. This was the most import wedding because this was the religious one. I got late to the wedding on my home country though. Well the first problem was that I booked my plain flight right before the wedding date and I had an invitation from a friend to go to a club the same day of my arrival. I had plan for this and had rented a hotel near the club so that I may sleep and rest the night after going to the club. Well that same day I found my brother and my causing in the same club. I knew my brother was coming to the club because he had rented a hotel room right next to me, but didn’t expect my cousin to come with him. After the party was over my brother asked me to give my cousin the keys for my hotel room. My friend told me that I could go to his house to sleep and that he would take me to my sister wedding the next day (my friend was also invited to the wedding). So I decided to give my cousin the room. The problem was that my friend had rented a beach house that was like 5 minutes away from the club and when we got to his houses there were more people at his house. My friend continued parting until next morning and I couldn’t sleep. I tried to stop him from drinking but it didn’t work. He ended up fainting at around 2pm of the next day and my sister wedding was at 6pm. luckily I managed to find transportation to my dad’s house to get ready for the wedding (I was lucky that I found transportation Because my friends house was in a resort type of place near a desert area were you can’t get access to transportation that easily) .I was counting on him to take home out do time. Well I got home at around 3 to 4 pm and started getting ready for my sister wedding. I went into the bathroom and while I was taking a shower I fell asleep. I hadn’t asleep in like 3 days. I couldn’t sleep on the plain and the day before my flight I had work, couldn’t sleep on my friend’s house too. I woke up nearly at 5:30pm on the shower and only because my mom was hitting the door of the bathroom. My dad needed his suit or something forms the bathroom. I come out from the bathroom my dad told me to go with them because it was almost time for the wedding but here is where a made my last mistake of the day. I had to go pick up a girl that was my couple for the wedding. The invitation was a dual invitation for my and this girl. I went to pick her up she took too long and sense we were already late we lost the ceremony. Looking back I shouldn’t have gone to pick her up, specially knowing I was already too late but I didn’t want to do this because I really liked this girl. Well having said. I have already explained this to my sister but she’s ok with it even though she’s mad.
What I want is some advice of how to apologize to my sister spouse family. I don’t know them that well and I feel I should apologize to them also. I know for a fact that they were bother about me missing the ceremony. They are from the U.S. – NY upper class old school people. I would like some advice on how could I a apologize to them without looking too Informal. Lively; buoyant etc

My soon to be husband and I have been living together for three years, and our “baby” is our dog. She’s two, and the sweetest happiest dog anyone has ever met! We plan on having a fairly small wedding, by the beach with mainly only family. I want my dog to be involved in the ceremony perhaps, but at least there. The wedding is going to be very simple and not very fancy. Any ideas on how to involve my Penny? Is this maybe too tacky?

We just fired our wedding planner… And, I’m afraid to hire anymore so we are planning our own wedding what time should the ceremony and reception start? I don’t want it to be to early in the day or to late in the day for our guest to arrive?

Iam muslim and for us we don’t have sex b4 marriage. So when i take my bride home what do we do? I don’t wanna sound like dick telling her get on the bed. I want it to be romantic we both have sex by choice.

I need to know who walks down the isle when, and where. Please help me!!

I can’t think of any good songs for our wedding ceremony. It will be on the beach in Mexico and we will be having either a live saxophonist or a keyboardist and bass (I haven’t decided yet). I’m looking for ideas for when the wedding party walks down the aisle, and a recessional song (once we’re married walking back down the aisle). I’m also open to suggestions for when the bride walks down the aisle, although I’m thinking of “Baby I Love Your Way”. I’m into more contemporary music and keep in mind there will be no singing. Thank you for your ideas!

My fiance and I are having a private immediate family only wedding and reception in Las Vegas. Our idea was to have the wedding on Friday with family, and then invite all of our friends out to a party in Las Vegas to celebrate our marriage on Saturday.
I’m having trouble wording the invitations to those not invited to the wedding on Friday (everyone except immediate family) because they will be sent out before the wedding, that way we can have a count as to who’s coming to the after party on Saturday. So it can’t be the traditional “we’ve eloped help us celebrate” wording. Thanks
