Wedding Planning Tips

My soon to be husband and I have been living together for three years, and our “baby” is our dog. She’s two, and the sweetest happiest dog anyone has ever met! We plan on having a fairly small wedding, by the beach with mainly only family. I want my dog to be involved in the ceremony perhaps, but at least there. The wedding is going to be very simple and not very fancy. Any ideas on how to involve my Penny? Is this maybe too tacky?

We just fired our wedding planner… And, I’m afraid to hire anymore so we are planning our own wedding what time should the ceremony and reception start? I don’t want it to be to early in the day or to late in the day for our guest to arrive?

Iam muslim and for us we don’t have sex b4 marriage. So when i take my bride home what do we do? I don’t wanna sound like dick telling her get on the bed. I want it to be romantic we both have sex by choice.

I need to know who walks down the isle when, and where. Please help me!!

I can’t think of any good songs for our wedding ceremony. It will be on the beach in Mexico and we will be having either a live saxophonist or a keyboardist and bass (I haven’t decided yet). I’m looking for ideas for when the wedding party walks down the aisle, and a recessional song (once we’re married walking back down the aisle). I’m also open to suggestions for when the bride walks down the aisle, although I’m thinking of “Baby I Love Your Way”. I’m into more contemporary music and keep in mind there will be no singing. My fiance and I are having a private immediate family only wedding and reception in Las Vegas. Our idea was to have the wedding on Friday with family, and then invite all of our friends out to a party in Las Vegas to celebrate our marriage on Saturday.
I’m having trouble wording the invitations to those not invited to the wedding on Friday (everyone except immediate family) because they will be sent out before the wedding, that way we can have a count as to who’s coming to the after party on Saturday. So it can’t be the traditional “we’ve eloped help us celebrate” wording. Thanks

My husband and I had a very rushed wedding. I had recently became homeless and I did not want to just live together and my health insurance that was already expensive was going up another $40 a month. We had already planned to get married and already bought my dress and he was going to wear his dress blues (he is a Marine). We had picked out the rings and had a general idea on what we wanted as well as the month we wanted the wedding (December). When I became homeless this past December we agreed that it would be best if we went ahead and got married asap at the court house. We quickly got married with the idea that on our one year we would renew our vows in the church and make it official followed by a reception in the church. I personally feel not truly married since it was not in the church and I don’t want the dress of my dreams to just hang in my closet forever without me wearing it. I have been putting everything off due to money issues but now that it is getting close I am trying to get everything done. I need some ideas on how to keep the cost low especially for the reception. I allready have the dress (just need shoes and veil) he has what he is going to wear. My sister who is the bride’s maid has an old prom dress that is the exact color blue I wanted to use. The church is going to be decorated for Christmas I can save there and since i was originally going to have a candle light wedding I want to get the cheap battery candles to place in the windows (another expense). Instead of flowers for me I was going to use a lit candle in a candle holder that has special meaning to me and I was going to use that to light a memorial candle for my father who passed away. Only my sister will be holding flowers. My big problem is the reception. How can I keep it cheap . I need the whole thing to be $500 without being to cheap looking. I always wanted to dance at my wedding but I don’t think I can afford it.

I am getting married in a small town where I live about 45 minutes away from a city. The only church out here is a super strick catholic one and I don’t really want to get married there seeing as i am not catholic. Not not mention I don’t want a full mass with communion and everything else I wont get to participate in.
I was at a wedding a couple weeks back where this couple had a guy marry them outside. He made no biblical refrences at all. It was really short, sweet and special. I’d like to do something like that.
So who do I look up in the phone book or online? Justice of the peace? Please help! Any ideas would be apreciated.

I Have been asked to do a reading at a wedding next week, eek, i have never been to a civil wedding before and have no idea what to choose (the bride wants me to pick something) i have looked online and nothing fits quiet right, i would like something a little different, about love but with a funny side, not too cheesy. Help please
