My mom says she is upset that I decided to not to attend my brothers wedding. Here is why 1 we have not really ever been close since were in our early teen years. He always put me down made in fun of me, and has never wanted to do right by me. 2 I hate his wife to be she is just as bad as him which is why they are so “madly in love” 3. The weekend of his wedding is the same weekend I had set out to leave and getting ready to the new school I am going to for grad school! I CAN’T WAIT! Anyways my brother 1st asked me to be in the wedding I declined, and I know the only reason why he asked me was because my mom made him feel obligated to. And now he “says he wants me there” but I know it is my mom pushing him. I would rather start settling in that weekend for grad school, and get far away from this place. I don’t even talk to my brother. Why go to a wedding where you don’t even like the groom and the bride
I’ve never actually been to one but from what I gather there is first a wedding ceremony and then a reception with food. Correct? Would it be at all normal to have the wedding ceremony more private with only a few guests and then the reception with all friends and family? Also, does the bride normally wear her wedding dress to the reception or does she change clothes? I heard of one wedding that took place in one city and then everyone drove 30 miles away for the reception. Normal?
