My fIance’s sister is controlling in general but she is so annoying with wedding stuff because she thinks we are supposed to listen to her since she “just did this.” I’m sorry sweetheart but you’re not automatically an expert and it’s sooo annoying.
Some people give advice or ideas nicely and don’t have to tell you “I just did this so omg you have to go here, don’t go there, do this, don’t do that, I like JUST did this,” and laugh like they’re an expert. Others are just different about it!! Like they give you ideas that are because they genuinely want to have a friendly conversation about it and don’t treat you like you HAVE to listen to them.
I am someone that is sensitive and get nervous and annoyed kind of easily, and my fiancé thinks we must listen to his sister a lot. And he gets mad if I don’t see a reason why we must ask the wedding messiah about what she did for ________.
I have just been saying I’ve got it covered, then she comes on strong and says “in all seriousness, like, what are you doing for ____.” like she’s mad at me and worried how it will come out.
