Hi all,
I bought cheap metal and rhinestone buckle-like things for a decorative piece for my wedding favours. I’m going to be hot glueing them onto a tin candle with some ribbon this weekend, and was just wondering what I could do to prevent them from changing colour the way cheap things do. Does the old clear nail polish trick work?
The wedding is May 2012, so they only have to make it 3 months lol. Any help would be appreciated.

Where did you get your education, did you go to college? I’m probably going to go to college, so what kind of courses do I need? One college offers hospitality and tourism and focuses on travel stuff. I really want to do weddings and parties. I don’t know where to get enough experience, I’ve already volunteered at a bridal gown event helping brides with dresses. But I need more. I live in Washington state, so if you know of anything that’d be helpful in this state that’d be great. Do you work at home or for someone/company etc?
Everything based off of this would be nice, thanks!
Hi all, I’m currently planning mine and my fiances wedding and we didnt want to go for the normal conventional sugared almonds or chocolate covered hearts in our wedding favours for the guests.
We decided to use our favourite chocolate treat which is of course galaxy caramel…yummmy.
Anyways, we realise chocolate can easily melt as a favour, but thought what if we could bulk buy the miniature wrapped versions that you can find in the tines of celebrations!
Only problem we have, we dont know how to go about this and google cant seem to help us!
ANY help or advice or links would be much appreciated!

Weddings can be a huge expensive hassle, so my business tries to make it stress free by being a “one stop shop”. I am trying to see what brides-to-be and women would want in a package! Also – what do you think each item is worth? All bring very professional, well rounded, and reputable wedding companies.
If you can, please reply with the following numbers of what you would want – or give your own feedback! Thanks
1. Engagement, Bridal, & Wedding Photos
2. Wedding Cakes (grooms & brides)
3. 8 (or more) Sessions of Personal Training
4. Waxing Services
5. Hair & Make-Up Artist for Wedding Day
6. Wedding Planner
7. Catering for Reception
8. Sit down session with nutritionist + new diet plan
9. DJ / Band
10. A percentage off a bundle package with everything
So i have asked the question about adding that you prefer cash on your wedding invitiations and of course everyone on yahoo answers said that it is rude and against wedding etiquette to mention it on the invitation. well yesterday i posted the same question on FACEBOOK to all my friends and family who will be attending the wedding/reception. i had about ten answers and they all said it is NOT rude to ask for cash on the wedding invites. so now that i know my guests will not be offended i am definately putting cash preferred on the invitations in better wording of course. so now for my question. WHERE DID THIS IDEA THAT ASKING FOR MONEY ON YOUR WEDDING INVITATIONS IS AGAINST WEDDING ETIQUETTE COME FROM? WHERE DID IT ORIGINATE AND WHO MADE IT UP?
So there’s this girl I really like and were both juniors in HS. we also have two back to back classes together so well walk together in the halls sometimes. Anyways, so I’ve had her # since the beginning of the year and weve texted a bunch. And I would ask her to hang out and she would always be busy so I was getting the feeling she wasn’t interested but then she started to seem interested when wed talk in school like shed make eye contact with me, smile a lot, laugh at stupid jokes I’d make. And so I decided to ask her to hang out the other day and were planning on going to the library next weekend to study for mid-year exams. So I was all happy but then she hasn’t answered my texts since then. I talked to my friend whos a girl and she said that the fact that This girl Wanted to hang out Was a good sign and she said that girls typically dont hang out with Guys theyre not at least a little bit iterested in unless theyre really good friends. And when I asked her if we were still good for saturday she said yeah sure. I’m so confused/ what should I do??
No matter who I talk or interact with I never have the same view. People will shop with me and I’ll almost never see something I like. I try to put on a smile and pretend I like things for other peoples benefit (and sometimes my own) because I find I just bum people out otherwise. I understand it’s ok to have your own opinion I just feel like a horrible person when I rain on every ones parade.
I’ve been compelled to ask this question because my mother-in-law is getting married. I live with her I’m the one that’s most involved with the wedding planning and ideas. The only problem is I find myself ruining the mood all the time when wedding planning should be exciting.
Is there any reason why I’m like this… could it because of how I was brought up (my Mother wasn’t a fussy woman), depression or just who I am?
I don’t want to try and change who I am if I am genuinely just a picky person but it might be worth changing my attitude if this is down to depression or a personality/mood disorder.
Disclaimer:
I’ve never truly voice my real opinion in case I offend someone, I usually just shake my head or give a discerning “hmmm”, which seems to upset people enough.
I am trying really hard to put my own feelings and opinions aside for my mother-in-law, I’m trying to get into her head so that I can appreciate what she likes but as I’m not a very expressive person I can’t accurately express myself.
I was going to use these as my wedding favors but now i don’t know what to do! Any suggestions on where i can get something similar ie. words and photos printed on M&M’s or similar candy wold be MUCH appreciated!
