Hey guys! My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and we’re extremely happy together. We are engaged and our wedding is planned for the Summer of 2014. I am 17 nearly 18, and he’s nearly 19. Soon this year we’re getting our own apartment, my uncle owns a whole band of them so we will be getting it dirt cheap considering it looks over the Thames in London. We are not just partners but best friends, I love him with all my heart. You bet, we have been through a lot of crap together and if we didn’t fall apart after that then I don’t know what could break us. I would put my life on it that our future is basically guaranteed, we are perfect together. We both earn, my boyfriend works in a superb place for his age and his wage is way over average for his age also. Financial issues don’t concern us, and once we live together that will be the final hurdle. Yes, I do realise that we’d have to pay numerous bills, including everything we need to survive and food bills.. We’d be able to do everything we’d need to with ease. Anyway I am desperate for a baby, and always have been from the age of about 13! My boyfriend always says he would love one, but then says he wants to wait a couple of years, UNTIL the next time we see a newborn out and about, or a family member comes over with their baby. He has said so many times that he would love to be a dad now, but I know for a fact he just needs the courage to go ahead and do it. He tells me all the time that having a child of our own would just ‘make us’ and I totally agree. He knows that having babies aren’t always a bad things especially if your in a healthy happy relationship. I just think I need to give him the courage to go ahead and try for one. I don’t want any lectures about how young we are, and how much work babies are. Being brought up in the same house around 9 siblings and me being the 4th oldest, I do understand exactly how babies work, and that they’re not just there for a week or so. So if you feel the need to give me answers that I don’t want then please move on! All I want to know is if anyone has been in a similar situation, and if there’s anything I can say to just give my boyfriend the encouragement for us to do it. The groom is from a big family and wants a large lavish wedding, the bride is the opposite and would rather spend more money on the honeymoon and the reception. How can i get the couple to compromise and still have the perfect wedding?

My husband is a HUGE Dukes of Hazzard fan and we are planning to have a country/dukes of hazzard themed wedding reception this summer. We were hoping to have the names of locations from the show on each table instead of numbers but can’t seem to find a list or anywhere that says any of the locations. I know The Boars Nest and Cooter’s Garage that’s about it! I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out! Thanks

hi, i wanna gift my parents a very beautiful and special gift for there 25 wedding anniversary, because i’m still unemployed, my problem is that i don’t have enough budget to send them abroad, or gift them a tour package.So, Im thinking of getting them rings, diamond rings or most probably “Platium Love Bands” how does this idea looks??? please pour in your suggestions also, if you have some other gifting ides, you are most welcome. My budget is 40k.

so my maid of honor is really into singing and she likes kareoking (sry i don’t think i spelled that right)
she also loves researching everything.
one of my bridesmaids is into really unsual stuff. she’s always been “unique” she used to always dye her hair crazy colors in high school ect… (she’s also a vegetarian)
one of my other bridesmaids is a mom and into a lot of different stuff.
and my other bridesmaid is miss “good girl” and she’s a major over-achiever. she’s going to school for musical theater. she’s also my fieance’s sister. (and she also is a vegetarian)
also one of my best guy friends is doing a lot for us for the wedding. he’s helping pay for and cook a lot of the food and he will most likely be “d.j.” for us. he’s into all kinds of stuff (he’s also a vegetarian)
also my fieance’s grandma is helping us out a lot also. she is making my wedding dress so i get a free custom wedding dress and she’s doing other things to help us too. she is an “old school” grandma she’s aswome. she cooks, sews, makes quilts etc…
also one of my uncles is flying in from japan to preform the ceremony and marry us. he does ministry work in japan and marries people over there. we will be the first couple he marries in the u.s.a. (he is from america)
also i want to get something nice for my parents (who are divorced so it has to be a seprate gift)
and something nice for my fieance’s parents (who are still together).
then there are people who have helped us out with giving us wedding money. i want to get them something nice.
also i need ideas for what to get our best man (he’s in the army) and the groomsmen.
i have some ideas as to what to get people, but am not sure on some people. also i don’t know how much we should spend we are on a very tight budget.
please give me some ideas that are not over done. thanks!!!
i’m thinking of doing personailzed gift baskets filled with items that each person will like i just have too many ideas and not enough money! we still have stuff to buy for the wedding so i don’t wanna over do the wedding gifts but i don’t wanna compleatly cheap out on them.

I want to be a wedding planner. I need to practice so please give me details such as budet, guest amount, place, flowers, etc.

My parents divorced when I was 7 and I have never had a great relationship with my father. He was always very controlling and demanding and would make fun of my mother whenever I would go to see him. I never ever liked him at all. I always favored my mom. I actually hate my dad.
Now I’m 25 and getting married in February. My dad assumes that he is giving me away. I don’t want him to. I don’t even want him there. But, I am his one and only daughter and child. I’m stuck.
I have an uncle, my mom’s brother, who I really love. He has always been more of a father to me than my own. He was best male role model in my life and I love him dearly. He told me he that between buying his new house and moving in with his life partner, he can’t afford to fly from Florida and stay in a hotel. I told him that I will fly him in and pay for his hotel. I really want him to give me away.
Here’s my dilemma. I don’t know how to tell my dad that I don’t want him to give me away, or to sit at the head table. Or even be there. I want my uncle to do it instead. I don’t know what to do.
And my mom doesn’t want to. She wants to be a traditional mother of the bride and stuff. Don’t even ask. She’s just stubborn. I also don’t want to walk alone.
