I have a brand new with tags wedding gown for sale. It’s David’s Bridal Style V9263. I paid $599.99 a little over 2 months ago for it but we have a family emergency which is forcing us to push back the wedding for a few years and we need as much money as we can get. I am including the slip (paid $59) and the jewelry set (paid $20) with it for free. I am in the Pittsburgh area and I am willing to ship it anywhere in the US for $30 extra. The dress is a size 6 petite which means it is 3 inches shorter than a regular size 6. (I am 5′6” with heels and it fits me perfect in length) It’s a beautiful dress with a lot of detail. The bodice is covered in pearls and sequins and theskirt has beaded lace appliques on the pick ups. My favorite part is the lace up corset back because it gives you flexibility on the size without spending money on alterations. This dress is perfect for a princess bride on a small budget. PLEASE HELP ME FIND A HOME FOR MY DRESS!!!!!
i’m getting married in the temple, so i know i should wear a wedding dress that is modest…only problem is that i think that sleeves/coverups and high neck lines are super ugly. i wear short sleeved dresses all the time, but they look funny on a wedding dress to me. all my friends who got married in the temple wore very modest dresses…and they all looked frumpy. the sleeves made their shoulders look huge and the neck lines were just unflattering. i feel like i should look my best for my wedding day, but all the modest dresses make me look bigger. i don’t want to be immodest…i don’t want any cleavage at my wedding and i will bite the bullet and cover my shoulders, but how where/how can i get a dress that is a happy medium? would removable sleeves work? im planning on wearing the outfit the temple gives you when you are actually getting sealed anyway. any ideas?
It’s modern times now and a lot of women when they do take the plunge and/or walk down that aisle, is it OK for them to be in a white wedding gown and not wear a veil at all? In the old days it would be common for the bride to wear a veil, but I’m seeing fewer brides wearing it nowadays.
Any brides out there who had/have a Maggie Sottero or Sottero & Midgley wedding gown? I am recently engaged and trying to get an idea of average price for her designs. Thanks!!
What would you think if you attended a wedding and the bride was wearing a pale blue dress like this one?http://d30opm7hsgivgh.cloudfront.net/upl…
I like the idea.
I would like to know of there is any KhadaDupatta like a A-line dress or Ball gown , which will suit perfectly for the bride who has Pear shaped figure .
Please give genuine answers , i will give points
I am planning on being san francisco in Sep. and I wanted to take a friend to try on wedding dresses for her upcoming wedding. We are both plus sized girls and would feel more comfortable in a store that either specializes or at least has plus size wedding dresses . Names, addresses and phone numbers would be great, and the person to give them to me, gets best answer!
i had planned to wear white but i found i look better in champagne, now i don’t know if the theme can work with my gown which i love,

We’re having a pirate-themed destination wedding with two ceremonies — a “sacred” ceremony on a beach followed by a sunset pirate cruise where we’ll be wed by a ship’s captain. Wanted a dress that can look a bit more traditional for the sacred ceremony and then accessorized with belt, lace shawl and hat for the pirate ceremony. I think I’ve found the perfect dress to fit the bill, but don’t know if ivory or white would be better. Ivory would be a more “period” costume, but I would like to wear white for my wedding and think the white would look better for the daylight beach wedding against the turquoise waters and palm trees. The dress doesn’t have a train which I wanted, but perhaps it would be better not to have a train for a beach wedding anyway. So, here’s the dress — http://www.goldwo.com/ball-gown-multilay… — Whaddya think — ivory or white? And any suggestions about train, no train? Also, if you have any ideas for shoes, I’d love to hear those, too. Thanks everyone!

In 2002, I married at just 20 years old. Unfortunately, it ended in divorce…in hindsight I never should have married so young. Fortunately, the marriage ended amicably…no bloodbath, and we are still friends.
I have since remarried, happily and he is seeing someone he cares deeply for. Its now time to let go of my wedding gown. I worked for a bridal shop when I was engaged for the first time (iI’m a seamstress) and as a result, I tried on over 200 wedding gowns until I found the one. I wanted something in the style of Jackie Kennedy, slightly off shoulder, simple. I found a beautiful alfred angelo gown…matte organza a-line gown with a portrait neckline, semi cathedral train and scalloped (I didn’t do strapless because it seems like ALL wedding gowns are strapless anymore) I wanted something with a vintage feel that I wouldn’t cringe at later.
I know already that selling wedding gowns can be VERY hard and I couldn’t resonably expect to sell it for much, especially since it isn’t strapless with a pickup skirt. But I do know that many military brides have to forgo a wedding because they don’t have money to plan a wedding before their loved ones deploy overseas.
I looked at the charities that donate gowns to miliary brides, but they won’t take gowns that are more that a couple of years old. I know that my gown in 10 years old, but I chose it specifiaclly because of its vintage look and I know there is a bride out there who is looking for something just like it.
It is a size 10.No alterations were needed. I removed the bustle before cleaning. It is an Alfred Angelo, style number 1972.
How can I post it for free to give to a military bride? The free section on my local Craigslist is probably not a good idea…we have way too many greedy selfish people who will lie to get it so they can resell it.
Every bride deserves a wedding, if she wants one (The second time around, I didnt…we eloped) but that holds DOUBLY true for the fiancees of the men who are putting their AZZES on the line to protect our country. I have a beautiful wedding gown, and while I don’t regret my first marriage (It ultimately led to my independence and meeting my current husband as well as two beautiful little girls) I will never wear it again. I want to make someone elses dream come true.
