Is Marriage Not For The Meritorious Students?

Tagged Under : , ,

Well I am recently in WB, India and have been employed in a job for which I have to go to USA. It is a lucrative offer and I want a flying start to my career. I was good in studies so I consider it would have been a folly on my part to reject the offer. Besides even if I had been posted in any Indian state, could I find a Bengali girl there (well-educated) who could marry me? I am 22 and I don’t think there will be any bengali girl in USA also – any well educated bengali girl will do with whom I can lead a happy married life. For u to know I simply love married couples and want to lead such a life too. There is a provision that I select my bride in West Bengal itself but she will have a job and will she leave her job in west bengal and go with me to USA? Well, is it possible that she will get a job in USA too? Suppose she is a computer engineer working at IBM in WB and if she resigns from the office will she find similar job in USA so that we can live together? Otherwise, we will have to live separately which I don’t want as it will cause mental separation. So I began to feel that perhaps marriage is not meant for meritorious students – is it true? Answers from those who faced this situation (or even from others) will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hiring A Marriage Proposal Planner: Reasonable Or Ridiculous?

Tagged Under : , , , , ,

Will you marry me?
While the words themselves may be simple, the process of planning the perfect proposal can be incredibly anxiety provoking. As such, in recent years, a new service has cropped up in the wedding industry: marriage proposal planners. For a fee, these consultants advise men, and sometimes women, on how to create the ideal scenario to pop the big question.
Sarah Pease, the owner of Brilliant Event Planning in New York, got the idea to offer proposal-planning services after one of her friends proposed with an engagement ring at the bottom of a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
“I figured there must be a better way,” she said. (Though she added that the couple in question is now happily married.)
Michele Velazquez decided to open Heart Bandits in Los Angeles after her boyfriend (now husband and business partner) executed a somewhat uninspired proposal. Lacking a timeline, Marvin Velazquez proposed at the end of a sunset cruise as the ship was docking. Then, he had no plan for how to celebrate, so they just went home.
Pease charges $500 to devise a plan while Velazquez charges $99 to give an idea. Fees increase if the planners are called upon to assist with execution, and that’s in addition to the costs charged by the venders themselves.
And yet, no matter how much money is spent, marriage proposal planners have no control over the most important thing of all: whether or not your boyfriend or girlfriend will say “yes.”
What do you think of a marriage proposal planner? Do you think it’s necessary?

Marriage Help Pleaseeeeee!?

My boyfriend and I are want to get married, but don’t have the money for a big wedding (both of our families are huge, so the wedding would be huge too). He’s in the army and I’m a college student. He and I are thinking about getting married at a courthouse and not telling anyone until we can afford a wedding. When we have the money for it, we’ll announce it as an “engagement” and then have a real wedding later…. My question is how do we handle the public (second) ceremony if we’ll already be married, and what disadvantages do you think this plan has if we keep it as a secret until we can afford it as far as taxes, federal papers, marriage license, etc go?
Also, I live in Georgia if this helps….

Marriage Procedures In Macedonia?

I am American Citizen planning to marry a Macedonian citizen/resident in Macedonia. I have read the information on the US Embassy website but hope someone that has had this experience can answer a few questions for me.
My fiancee and I plan to marry in August in Macedonia. I am currently working in Afghanistan and will be only able to take a short amount of time off in August for the ceremony therefore want to be sure I have all the correct documentation and allow enough time for the ceremony to be completed.
-What documents will need to translated?
-How long does it take the documents to be translated and is that something I can do ahead of time?
-After the translated documents are presented to the Registration Clerk, how soon can the wedding ceremony date be set?
I would appreciate any information that you may have from personal experience. Because of the limited time we will have, I want to make sure nothing goes wrong. :)
Thank you!!

Who Is Responsible For The Commercialization Of Marriage?

Tagged Under : , ,

Who is it that is most responsible for the fact that the Wedding is more important than the long term marriage?
The Wedding is the BIG EVENT that everyone looks forward to. It is a chance for Father’s to show off their success, or failure, by spending $20,000 for a wedding which results in a 4 year marriage followed by divorce.
Oh of course let us not forget about the Honeymoon vacation!!! What is the average cost there?
Sanctity of marriage…LOL.
Does God have a special place for the women who have 3 $25,000 weddings in their life?
Does God enjoy the materialism and commercialization of Marriage as much as Christians do?
This is supposedly a christian country right? Majority of marriages in the USA are held inside a church. God must get impressed the more a wedding costs right? God gives special favor to Christian men wealthy enough to put a $10,000 diamond ring on the first, second and third wives fingers?
Sanctity/Holiness of Marriage. LOL
50% divorce rate among heterosexual christian folks…50%.
Does God like that as much as the Wedding Industry does?
How can homosexuals destroy the Holiness/Sanctity of marriage when Christians already have destroyed it by worshiping the God of Capitalism?
So can we just stop using that as a pathetic excuse to deny homosexuals the right to worship the God of Commercial Greed the same as Christians do?

Maid Of Honor Speech For A Painful Marriage?

Tagged Under : , , , ,

I need to make a speech at a wedding soon but the problem is, first of all the bride’s a pain in the neck and not a joy to know, but mostly she’s not in love with the groom. She’s mainly getting married because she’s getting older and all of her friends are married and she feels left out. Her and the groom fight every two days and it’s always been this way with them. They don’t have much in common, he doesn’t like to hang out with her and she’s generally only got negative things to say about their relationship.
If you’re wondering why I’m doing the speech then, I’m her sister.
So, considering I can’t say the “you two are meant for each other” “___ is such a lovely woman” “I know you two will make each other so happy” “you will be together forever” lines because they’re all lies, what the hell can I say?! Thanks
