My boyfriend and I are going to be getting engaged sometime this year and we have been trying to figure out when to get married. We both like the idea of either a Fall or a Spring wedding; however, he will still be in school getting his PhD. We absolutely do NOT want a Summer wedding and a Winter wedding wasn’t really up our ally either. So what do we do? I’m afraid that it will be too much stress on him to get married during the school year. And we are wanting to take at least a week for the Honeymoon… I don’t want him to be worried about homework or research or anything else but I don’t know if it would be possible to plan a wedding for the middle of a semester. Also we do not want to wait till he gets out of school. We have been dating for 3 years and I still have 2 years left in school so we already will be dating for over 5 years by the time we are able to get married… lol I know it seems like a long way off but I’m a big planner and we would love to settle a date so we have something to count down to! 
I would like to do something for he and his fiance, but I am horrible at this kind of stuff. I’m planning on sending a monetary gift, but want to do something else too. Any ideas?

My 30 year old sister got engaged in December and we are very happy for her! They set a date for January 12th 2013. She of course was super excited so we started planning rite away, starting with her dress. She found the perfect one and mom bought it for her. Then as part of my Maid of Honor duties, she asked me to look for places for the wedding and reception which I did, took her and her fiancee there and they loved it so we booked it and I put the deposits down for them. We have always been very close, she lives with my husband and I and has for 4 years and its always been great. Last weekend she was getting ready to leave to go to her fiances house for the weekend and she had a suitcase with her which she had never done. I said “are ya movin in over there” She said “not until the summer”. Then this past Thursday I heard her on the phone with him and she said “love you hubby”. I didn’t think much of that since a lot of people call their boyfriend or fiancee hubby. Today she called me from his house and she was telling me something funny that happened to them today and I said “you already sound like a married couple”. I then heard her fiance say quietly “shes not wrong about that, did you tell her?” I didn’t acknowledge that I had heard him and she quickly changed the subject and got off the phone. I think they eloped. We are all actively planning their wedding so why would they do this? Not to mention the hurt our families and friends will have if they did get married. So my questions are, how should I approach this to her? Do I simply ask or tell her I heard him or what? And also, do we have a rite to be hurt/upset if this is all true? This is really bothering me, Ive never had to deal with anything like this. If she was going to elope then why is she having her family plan and pay for the wedding and reception? I remember when I was getting married I joked with her that I would just go to Vegas and elope and she was very upset at the thought so Im just really confused. Any advice would be great about this. I am engaged to my boyfriend who I love very much and we are planning on getting married next year. I really want to marry him but the actual wedding is scaring me to death. I hate being the centre off attention and big gestures and public displays of affection so the thought of standing infront of people to get married is my worst nightmare. I would get married with just some witnesses but he doesn’t want to do that he wants to declare it to the world how do I get over my fears and marry him in public
I just moved here a little less than a year ago because my family is military. My fiance is also in the military and we plan on getting married next year. Him and I don’t know anybody out here and we all know that it’s way to expensive to have our whole family fly out. So we plan on having a wedding with just our parents and brothers. So i’m looking for a beatiful place outdoors that we can get married. Like a nice beach or something? I don’t know what Kentucky really has to offer except for cows and hillbillies.

So I am set to get married by next year (spring time). I am trying to plan ahead so that I may save up and avoid any financial problems. I want a springy (yes, not a word), romantic, elegant, yet vintage themed wedding. My colors are in the light pinks, peach, gold/champagne, ivory range and I am in love with the peony/ cabbage rose flower. I would really, REALLY appreciate some help and/or advice on ways to make my dream wedding come true. Pictures would be a great help. My fiance has left it all in my hands since he is not into this kind of stuff and me being the girly-girl that I am, I love it. lol Has anyone ever been to a pink themed wedding? How was it? Also, I’m totally lost on the cake…any ideas on decorations/ flavors?

hi so me and my fiancee are planning to get married this summer, the problem is that we are both from different countries.I am from England and he Is from Colombia. we have been together for 7 years but i large amount has been as a long distance relationship as we went through uni.
so now we have to choose where to have our wedding but we have no idea which country! we do defiantly want it either here or there but we can’t decide.
from Colombia there would be about 200 guests and from my side about 100, so costs would be cheaper to have it in colombia (we would pay for travel and everything)
i love him very much and want him to equally enjoy the day but i do want it in England becuase i am English.. whereas he feels the same for Colombia so we have no idea! any ideas for us? thanks! 
I keep having a dream that i am planning my wedding and gettiing married …. its becoming a nightly thing… im picking the flowers and the dresses really just planning my wedding … all my family comes then i think everything in the wedding goes wrong. im 20 im not married or engaged… not even in a relationship as of yesterday.. what does this dream mean
