im the sister of the bride and need to wear a blue dress, i would prefer a royal or light blue, not navy. im having a hard time finding a dress because it needs to be nice for a wedding but it will be outdoors in the summer. i want a short party dress but im 5′9″ so i would be too tall for a lot of the short homecoming dresses that are in stores. any ideas on where i could find a good dress? oh and im 19 so it needs to be a little more mature than the little skimpy homecoming dresses

I am from Newark Ohio and want to have an outdoor wedding in Newark, Columbus, or somewhere close to that area in summer or spring of 2013. I would like a waterfall that is easily accessible. I would be alright with a river or lake though. Any suggestions on a place and a place for a reception? Also any suggestions on a wedding planner/consultant would be great because I really need help considering my fiance and I will both be trying to plan this from different states. Any suggestions at all about ideas or venues will be greatly appreciated.

First, I apologize that this question is so long, but I want to make sure I’m thorough to get the best advice.
We have no idea how but my male cat (1 1/2 yrs old) Got outside of our apartment on Wed night. After searching the house to no avail, my husband went outside. Our cat was on the next floor up, and ran away at the sight of him. About an hour or so later, I found him hiding in a wooded area next to our building, but he was too far in for me to reach him. Every attempt to lure him out (food, treats, etc) didn’t seem to work. Finally he came out of the woods, but seemed to continue to try to run away. I finally go close enough to him to try to grab him, but as soon as I did, he got insanely aggressive, scratching and biting at me. By reflex, I dropped him and he ran off.
Last night, we heard a cat meowing and growling outside our window. We looked outside, and it was him, but he wasn’t alone. He was squared off with another cat (stray I’ve seen hanging around the complex). I tired distracting him and sent my husband to go get him. When my husband got close, the stray ran off, and our cat followed. It went on like this for over almost 2 hours until finally, they both got away and ran into woods.
Background: I have never let my cats roam freely outside. They only go out on our balcony, and he has never tried to jump down to run off.
Why do you think my cat doesn’t want to come home? He has a sister and she has been depressed since he left. Any ideas on how to entice him to come back? We have tried leaving food out for him, but don’t know if its him, any of the many strays or even the skunks or possums hanging around the complex that’s eating it. Please help!

My parents have a beautiful backyard with a pond and waterfall, gazebo, etc, so since I can remember, I’ve wanted my wedding AND reception to be here. We’ll get married behind the pool just before sunset, and then head up to the backyard for the first dance, reception, and all that. We’re having a buffet and I’ve sold my fiance on the idea of a ‘world buffet’ (lol, I made up the name-maybe international buffet would be better)-we’ll have some Chinese, some Italian, some Mexican, etc. Dessert will be a small 3 tier cake, candy buffet (because I saw a gorgeous pic online of all different colored candies in clear vases-all shapes and sizes-like in one vase it’d be all orange M&Ms, another would be all redhots, another would be all yellow gumdrops, and so on), and we’d also have some other desserts to choose from, like a cupcake tree, cookies, or whatever. Dessert will be in the gazebo, all lit up with Christmas lights. Christmas lights will be EVERYWHERE, on trees, the decks, and the tree house. I have aa 4 1/2 year old daughter, and we’re expecting a baby in November, plus we both have 2 nephews each, so kids are a BIG part of this wedding. I love the idea of lighting the treehouse up with Christmas lights, and after dinner, they can play-the sandboxes will be covered, though, lol, because they’ll still be in their nice clothes.
We’ll have an open bar, and I’m going to look into bartenders and how much it’d cost to hire one for a few hours. I know where to put everything, I have a great idea of what I want in my head, and my fiance is on board with it all-he’s even helping of his own free will, lol. Since it’s a night wedding, we’ll be leaving the following morning for our honeymoon, probablyy to the South Pacific somewhere-Samoa is number one on my list so far-it seems like a cheaper alternative to Tahiti and Fiji, and more private without tourists popping up everywhere we look.
Anyway, no wedding planner. It’s a small wedding, I want it very private, and we’ll be doing most of it ourselves, like the decorating and setting up. His MP3 player will be our music, and we’ll have a special file on it dedicated to our wedding with the songs we choose. This is the wedding I want. But there are sooooo many choices, so much stuff to choose from. It’s a bit overwhellming. I know I have over a year (we’re waiting so long so I can lose all the baby weight first, and he has a few pounds he wants to lose, plus saving money), but a year doesn’t seem like a very long time without a pro helping. I know I can do this without help from a wedding planner, but if you have any advice, tips, ideas, anything, I would seriously appreciate them. Stuff like, how to choose a good photographer, where to get some decorations (like the Christmas lights, centerpieces, etc), any websites, any ideas for a nighttime, fall wedding, or really anything, lol. We live in northern New Jersey and want it to be when the leaves are just changing color to the oranges and reds and golds-they’ll be the weddiing colors. And lots of flowers-I love flowers.
I guess I’m just very scattered and unorganized, and overwhelmed with how to find exactly what I’m looking for. Whatever help you can give, I will appreciate it sooooooooo much:) And we are on a budget, so nothing too outrageous. Thanks in advance and sorry this is so long.

My fiance and I are looking for the best place to get married in Indiana. We live in New Whiteland and dont mind looking about an hour away. We are looking for something outdoors, beautiful, woodsy, different. I have looked on theknot.com and I am not happy with what they have come up with. I need something different. Any ideas? Thanks!

ok so me and my fiance have our hearts set on having a winter wedding outside in the snow. we’re going to keep the ceremony outdoors and as short as possible (and we might get heat lamps for the ceremony too but idk because what if the heat melts the snow?), and the reception will be indoors with heating and a fireplace and warm food and drinks.
but my fiance and i found this venue called the ice hotel that’s in sweden. the entire hotel is made out of ice and we saw the pics and it was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful!!!! we are also considering having our ceremony there in their wedding chapel (yes the chapel is also entirely made out of ice) and then moving to another indoor reception with heating and warm food and drinks.
so which idea do you think is better??? also either way the guests will be cold, i know that, but which idea do you think would be better in terms of looking better?? we already checked the prices and either idea will be about the same cost and fits our budget.
oh yeah and im going to wear a sleeveless dress with thermal wear underneath and opera length gloves and a faux fur cape. my fiance will wear a tux with thermal wear underneath too. and the invitations will have a winter theme to reflect the winter wonderland idea so guests will know that and i’ll mention to dress warmly on the invitations and our wedding website too.
so do you think this could work because this is our dream to have a winter wonderland wedding!!!!

He got mad at me for leaving early. My son called me 10 days before the wed & told me Dad was bringing his 2nd x-wife to the wed. I was in shock since she walked out on him and their 3 kids 8 yrs. ago. Her name has not been ment.I have hated her for years shedhad an affair w/ my hub. I was in shock, I asked him how long did he know, my son lied to me and said Mom just don’t make a scene at my wedding. WELL I was double shock. I told my son, to do2 favors. Make sure I don’t have to look at them at the dinner and don’t seat me in the back at the wedding.I raised him on my own., no dad He said ok, but it happened anyway. I had to fly to Florida for the wedding. He sat his father at the front table along with his kids with her, I was humiliated, so after the wedding, the buffet and our mother/son dance I told my son I was leaving he asked y, i said I can’t see anything anyway, it’s best I leave. He said his wife did it, blame it on her, that I can’t always have my way. I don’t get my way
