How To Protect A Photo?

Tagged Under : ,

Okay, So I would like to use one of those clock kits to make my own clock. It would basically be a photo mounted onto foam board and then I am going to have people sign it with acid free pens.markers. My question is, how do I protect the photo and writing once I am done? Any ideas on how to improve the project would be appreciated. I will be using this as a guest book for my wedding reception.

How To Charge For Soccer Photo Session?

Tagged Under : , , ,

I have been offered to photograph a little league soccer team. I will be photographing the team as a whole and each individual player. Their are only 10 players. I am wanting to know a basic pricing I can ask the parents to pay. I am VERY new to this. I have done some work on the side, friends kids, and a wedding. I did the wedding as a favor, as I was a second photographer and didn’t get paid for it; just gained experience. So,with that being said, I am interested in what pricing “packages” I should offer. I normally print pictures for friends at Walgreen’s, or just give them a disc. The option I came up with was to just charge $20.00 (cash only) and give them the disc and print what they want. Thanks for the advice in advance!! :)

Hi, I am getting married and I want to make my own wedding favours.
I am going to make heart shaped photo holders with the wire holders and clips.
I am hoping to make the base out of salt dough but I have no idea where I can get the wire holder part from, I have had a quick look on hobbycraft but not really sure if I search the correct thing.
Any help/ideas would be great, thanks.

Photo Upload Station?

In the age of digital cameras, my fiance and I have come up with an unusual idea. This is to keep from having to use disposable cameras at our wedding and reception.
We want to set up our laptop in a secluded corner at our reception site (it’s the same place we are having our wedding). The laptop has a camera chip reader for all types of chips and what we are thinking of doing is simply directing guests to the laptop and having instructions on how to upload photos right there on the spot.
I’m not sure if this has been done before. It would certainly make it easier to get all of the photos taken that day. The uploading is fast and the laptop does not delete photos off the chip unless that option is chosen. We would, of course, have someone to keep an eye on it.
What do you all think? It’s different, yes but I think it might work out quite well considering this computer has a huge hard drive. We would just create a folder that all photos would automatically go to.

Where Can I Get Nice Wedding Photo Albums?

Tagged Under : , , , ,

I’m helping my best friend plan her wedding. She has a photographer but he doesn’t do the albums – he’s recommended a few companies but they look a bit basic.
We’re looking for those storybook type photo albums, but something a bit fancier (like the ones that snapfish etc do, but nicer).
Thanks!

Memorial Wedding Photo Ideas…..?

I am photographer who is relatively new to the world of wedding photography and am being faced with a rather unique dilemma, so I thought i’d ask others for some advice and input.
The wedding is next weekend and the bride’s father just passed away this morning.
The original plan had been to go to the hospital to do some photos with her father, but that obviously isn’t going to happen now. I was just wondering if anyone had some ideas of other things we could do to help her feel like he’s still there and a part of this process through photos.

How Much Should I Charge For A Wedding Video And Photo Shoot?

Tagged Under : , , , , , ,

Okay, so I’m 18, and I’ve been editing film and photography for a long time now. I’m no professional, but I’m decent. So I decided to try and get a small quasi photography/filmography business going. One of my friends asked me if I could do a wedding shoot for her cousin. Then, she asked how much I would charge. I have no idea how much to tell her. It’s my first shoot, and I don’t want to charge too much. Please, I need some help. I don’t want to name a ridiculous price because I’m no professional, but I would like a good amount. Any help would be very appreciated. I’m trying to work my way through art school, so I need the money.
