…I mean I know back in the day when the cameras were real basic and getting the lighting and focus correct on a picture at that perfect moment was def a skill….But now with the advent of digital technology doesn’t the camera do most of the work, all you have to do is, well push a button after the picture is centered, I can flip through the tv channels real fast and when i see my tv show I’m able to push the stop button real fast (am I an artist/pro???)….It seems to me its more of how photographers are able to market themselves to foolish brides who are eager to spend daddy and mommies money……

I would one day like to get into wedding photography. I have a DSLR and two lenses (looking into buying a flashgun). I have several memory cards and two batteries. A few friends of mine have asked me to take their wedding photos but obviously I haven’t got anything planned as of yet…
- what camera and lens(es) do you use?
- how much money do you earn per wedding?
- what services do you offer and for what prices roughly?
- is it a job that pays well enough to keep you going with little or no money troubles?
- do you need another job to earn extra money or is it sufficient?
- what accessories do you use (ie flashgun etc) I know extra memory cards and batteries are necessary.
- what do you do to just add to the wedding? I have heard some photographers display a slideshow when everyone is having the party afterwards?
