Where did you get your education, did you go to college? I’m probably going to go to college, so what kind of courses do I need? One college offers hospitality and tourism and focuses on travel stuff. I really want to do weddings and parties. I don’t know where to get enough experience, I’ve already volunteered at a bridal gown event helping brides with dresses. But I need more. I live in Washington state, so if you know of anything that’d be helpful in this state that’d be great. Do you work at home or for someone/company etc?

The groom is from a big family and wants a large lavish wedding, the bride is the opposite and would rather spend more money on the honeymoon and the reception. How can i get the couple to compromise and still have the perfect wedding?

I am a photographer and I was wondering how event/wedding planners select their “preferred” or recommended photographers that they work with? I was hoping to work with some event planners and maybe pay for referrals but I wanted to know how it normally works? Any ideas?

I have a school project. It’s my Senior Career power point presentation. In my power point I must include an “interview” with a person who has the same career as the one I’ve chosen. I’m seriously considering being an event planner. Though I have many interest, for this assignment it’s the career I’ve chosen out of the few I’m interested in pursuing. Hi, so my sister is getting married this coming summer. I have never been a part of a wedding party before, much less as the Maid of Honor. I was wondering what exact duties I am supposed to perform and if anyone has any advice?
Are there any books, planners, organizers that you feel are a life saver and a must have for plannin a wedding as well as the bridal shower and bachelorette party?
Also how does one deal with a bride when they are having a melt down (as I love my sister but I can see her eventually having a meltdown over the planning at some point)
