Hi we’re currently planning our wedding for 1st june 2013. Here’s some quick info on us to help you answer, we have been together for just over 5 years, we have a 2 year old daughter, and live together already, we have been engaged for 2 years.
We dont have a massive budget generally so i knew when it came to our wedding it would have to be the same, we visited our local church and went ahead with booking. We looked at a few reception venues and some were WAY too pricey, so we found our local rugby club, this has a large room for you to hire and use for anything you like! this suited as with them providing both lots of food, so here’s a run through.
Invite’s/order of service/thank you cards – all made by me
favours – made by me
60 people sit down buffet, cold meats, hot potatoes, salads, pasta, rice etc
130 evening guests, party atmosphere, finger buffet.
We’re having our room decorated, chair covers, tablecloths, centrepieces etc
Hired suits
BHS Bridesmaid dresses (high street)
flowers from a local florist (bride’s bouquet, bridesmaids, buttonholes etc)
Dress – (not bought yet – budget of £500)
photographer
balloons
Cake (done by me – we make them for a living)
wedding car and limo for bridemaids
this is just a snip at some of the things we have booked/to book
I have a meticulous list, all listed to the £! it is from this that our budget comes to £3500-£3600 some say impossible but i fail to see why? we have a young family and money is better spent elsewhere? anyone have ideas of their own or planning a budget wedding?? tips!!
thanks in advance
i have a few questions about this profession:
is there a professional name for this?
what schools in new york city have this program?
what other schools have strong programs for this profession?
if you can give any more info, that will be greatly appreciated (:
I just moved here a little less than a year ago because my family is military. My fiance is also in the military and we plan on getting married next year. Him and I don’t know anybody out here and we all know that it’s way to expensive to have our whole family fly out. So we plan on having a wedding with just our parents and brothers. So i’m looking for a beatiful place outdoors that we can get married. Like a nice beach or something? I don’t know what Kentucky really has to offer except for cows and hillbillies.
So I am set to get married by next year (spring time). I am trying to plan ahead so that I may save up and avoid any financial problems. I want a springy (yes, not a word), romantic, elegant, yet vintage themed wedding. My colors are in the light pinks, peach, gold/champagne, ivory range and I am in love with the peony/ cabbage rose flower. I would really, REALLY appreciate some help and/or advice on ways to make my dream wedding come true. Pictures would be a great help. My fiance has left it all in my hands since he is not into this kind of stuff and me being the girly-girl that I am, I love it. lol Has anyone ever been to a pink themed wedding? How was it? Also, I’m totally lost on the cake…any ideas on decorations/ flavors?
Thank you to all to help.(:
Can anyone help me with wedding planning in Dallas Texas area?
Hi, I am currently living in North Carolina. My fiance got a really great job in Dallas TX and had to go ahead an move out there while I finish up my last semester of getting my Masters in Social Work and tie up our loose ends. He’ll be back here for my graduation in May and then together we will move the rest of our things to Dallas. We want to get married in October or November so I am really trying to get started with plans but I have no idea of where to start…I’ve only been to Dallas once, and it was for a 3 days and all we did was house hunt! So can anyone give me an idea of good florists, bakers, locations etc…I already have my dress, but I have nothing else! We want a fall themed wedding because we met at a Halloween party but we don’t want a Halloween theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Ok, so im working on planning my wedding got my color picked out they are Royal Blue+Sky Blue+and Cloud. Trying to find a good place to do my wedding invitations in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Havent had any luck. Also open to any ideas you ladies mught have. please only serious people thank you!!
I feel that Event planning is probably the job that works for me, so I’m trying to find colleges that will help me. But it’s difficult researching because it’s hospitality and tourism in general, it’s not specific courses. I’m interested in wedding/party planning, I don’t want to really plan business meetings or someones vacation.
I live in Washington state, and out of state schools are going to be way too expensive. I need in state. Could Western or Central washington in Ellensburg be okay? Those were the colleges I wanted to go to the most before, I don’t really want to go to Washington state University. If it’s the only option that I guess I’ll go.
Any advice/tips on this? thanks!
I need websites that can help me plan/organize my weeding. Find rentals ect. Basicly everything rentals? any ideas. Thank you (im trying to keep this wedding under 6,000) thank you! (:
