I have various video clips, most of which I have taken on my Panasonic Lumix digital camera. Other clips have been emailed to me through various other formats. I am trying to put them all together as a surprise video for the bride during her bridal shower; however, Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker are not recognizing a lot of the clips. Also, there are a few that it did recognize, yet only the sound comes through with no picture. Can someone please recommend the simplest, easiest to use program out there? Or, can you instruct me on how I should go about doing this (compile clips and bring them to a professional, convert the clips, etc.)?
The bridal shower is in 3 days, so I am in need of help asap.

Two New Program Ideas? Help?

so i have two ideas, tell me if they are good or not and if you could help me find the components needed i’d be greatful:)
Idea one: “black swan” themed. i LOVE the white swan and the black swan dresses, anyone know any figure skating dresses similar to those? or ballet costume that could double as?
Idea two: something to do with being a bride. i could use the white swan type dress and make it a very happy and elegant program..i don’t know what music i would use…

Should My Sister’s Name Still Be In The Wedding Program Even If She Won’t Be There?

My fiance and I had somewhat of a quick engagement. He proposed June 3rd and the wedding is July 30. I had to rearrange some people and things to fit people’s schedules as far as who can come to the wedding and who can’t. Traditionally, if the bride has a sister, then her or the bride’s best friend should be the maid of honor. Well my sister’s job denied her vacation time because she just got a job at a Social Security Administration building and is still in what i guess they call a “probationary period’. She is really bummed out that she can’t come to be in the wedding. I feel horrible to REPLACE her because she is my best friend, and I really don’t want to replace her. My fiance’s groom’s party has 3, and I don’t want it to look awkward to have 2 on one side and 3 on the other, I also do not have very many friends (by choice), and the 2 female friends that I do have are already my bridesmaids.
After talking to my sister, we decided to have my younger cousin be a maid of honor, and sort of “stand-in” for her (which my cousin was totally cool with and excited about). We would still put my sister’s name in the program under “maid of honor” with an astrick in the corner to indicate she could not attend, but also put my cousin’s name under the same headline so she can be recognized as well. I got negative feedback from my fiance about it, but I want to represent my big sister as well as my younger cousin who COULD be there. Weddings don’t have to be 100% traditional. Am I wrong for wanting to do that???? Feedback is greatly appreciated.

ive heard about the disney college program that college students can take in Florida or California. I’m really interested but I don’t know if its worth it. I’ve researched it and all, they’re not even accepting applications though from anyone other than culinary and baker majors and whatnot so I still have time to decide. but has anyone ever done it? can you tell me about it? I want to get into the wedding planning business. (:

What Program Should A Wedding Planning Business Use?

I am working toward becoming a wedding planner and am not sure if there are any good BUSINESS programs or software to use? Obviously I will have to plan multiple weddings at a time so the “do it yourself” software you can buy anyway might not cut it. Or should I create my own with spreadsheets or something? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Also I have a Mac so any software must be compatible.

Wedding Program Details?

I’m working on creating my DIY programs and I’ve run into a little problem. On most programs I’ve seen the people list the role, the person, and how they know them like:
Maid of Honor – Jane Doe – Sister of Bride
Now one of my personal attendants is my fiance’s brother’s girlfriend. I’m not really friends with her – I kind of only agreed to have her be a personal attendant to keep the peace in the family. So I don’t know what to call her in the “how I know them” part. I don’t want to call her a friend of the couple because she’s really not and Groom’s Brother’s Girlfriend doesn’t have a great ring to it either lol Any suggestions???

Violin At Wedding And Crossword Puzzle On Wedding Program Help?

Couple of questions about my wedding: We are having a small, fun wedding as we are both pretty silly.
1) What are some good questions I could ask for a crossword puzzle on the back of the wedding ceremony program? I have some, but I’d like some other ideas!!
2) I really would like a violin in my wedding, and thankfully my fiance’s aunt plays and gives lessons, so she’s very good. I saw a book of violin songs online that I think I will purchase, and pick out a couple songs that she can play during the wedding. I also plan on having my fiance’s sister and uncle sing a song with the violin, so any song suggestions would be great for that.
