He wants to have 14 groomsmen…I think that’s an awful lot and I am having a hard time finding that many women to be in my wedding…what should I do? He and I have talked about that being way too many and cutting some of the men out, but he just does not want to cut any guys out, he has a lot of friends and wants them in his wedding. He has also been in several weddings himself and he feels like he owes them a favor so he wants them in the wedding as well. This is the only thing he really wants to have a say in regarding the wedding and I want him to be happy. But it will also be more expensive with that many in the wedding party. What do you think I should do?
My husband’s cousin’s daughter will be getting married there at an “all-inclusive resort”, rates upwards of $750 night plus airfare for two. Three nights with airfare would be $3,800+. We were emailed the web site and encouraged to book through their planner for this resort. I use Expedia and found a much cheaper resort with 4+ star ratings around 150+ night upwards, so three nights cost $1,400. I emailed the couple and told them I was thinking of attending but staying somewhere else (we are retired). A few days later the couple sent out an email saying guests should use the resort planner, as they would love everyone to stay at this resort,” it may seem expensive but to remember it’s all inclusive”, they stated also “that this is a special sale rate,so book before sale is over”. Some sale!!! All-inclusive doesn’t matter to us and we don’t drink alcohol nor eat excessively. The wedding website said that the bride and groom get “perks” like chocolate strawberries or bottle of wine when they have their wedding guests book room through the planner. My neighbor says they get almost a free wedding, which kind of make sense because they have stated to go through their planner who only books for this resort! My other cousin will go, stay at a cheap resort, and doesn’t care what they say. On the website, beside the couple, only six other people booked, and they both have large families. The bride’s parents are divorced and do not have money for a fancy wedding. Do they get more than “strawberries” for your booking? So what would you do?????????
In this book a girl named Haven goes through one summer that changes her life. Haven is six feet tall which makes her feel uncomfortable in her own skin. Haven’s summer is not going the way she wanted it to be especially when her father is remarrying Lorna Queen. Lorna Queen is a weather women who works with Haven’s father. If one wedding isn’t enough how about two weddings? Ashley, Haven’s perfect older sister is planning her wedding with her fiance Lewis. This is going to be a very busy summer for Haven.
Sumner Lee and Gwendoyln Rogers is back. Sumner is Ashley’s ex-boyfriend. He is very high spirited and energetic. Sumner once went to Virginia Beach with Haven’s family but that was years ago. Gwendolyn Rogers is a tall but very famous and beautiful model that comes back home after a serious depression.
Haven has nothing to hold on to now. She doesn’t get enough attention from her mom because of Ashley’s wedding .Nothing goes right so Haven goes through a big change. She now snapped at her mom, got fired from her job, and ran away. Sumner was the only one who could help and she needed the answer why Ashley dumped him.
Sumner was no help. Running through the forest with anger Haven bumped into Gwendoyln. Gwendolyn Rogers looked like tall average teenager without any makeup on. In the forest Gwendolyn and Haven looked at each other until Ashley takes HAven home.
At the ending of the book Ashley ends up having a perfect wedding and HAven as one of the bridesmaids. Seeing Gwendolyn in the forest Haven knew that she had to love her height. Gwendolyn is tall but still has many advantages when being a model. Haven finds out that Sumner was cheating on Ashley.She will soon have many boyfriends like Sumner in the future. Growing up too fast is part of life and everyone needs to face it.
I loved this book because of all the interesting characters. The plot was amazing and it was well written. I recommend this to any body who loves realistic fiction and a little gossip teen books. This is now my favorite book.

We’ve set the date – 6/26/11. Sunday afternoon in my parent’s church, reception to follow at my parent’s house. Not getting a dj, a limo, a caterer, or a wedding planner. It’s going to be very simple and cute. I’ve picked Lavender and White as the colors. Hamburgers and hot dogs at the reception, a double layer 8” round wedding cake and tons and tons of cupcakes. But…that’s all about as far as I’ve gotten. I’ve got less than 4 months to plan my wedding and I want to keep it on a pretty small budget so any advice or tips you have would be much appreciated!!
