so i just got a yahoo account and this is my first question ever.
i haven’t gotten a dress yet but iv tried them one and i narrowed it down to two for the ceremoney and first dance/father daughter dance but i already have one for the reception.
the reception dress is short and white and has a lace bodice and a flapper style skirt that moves a lot., this is for dancing because our families love to dance.
but…
the ceremony dress is a big ballgown with a long train and its red. all red. my venue is a ballroom and is white and gold. i dont have pictures but these pictures will give you an idea.

like i said before the reception dress is very short and and white and the other ceremony dress is also a ballgown but white which i know would go but i think my heart is set on the red.
I am looking for a nice ballroom or banquet hall in the tacoma/seattle area that allows self-catering and alcohol. I definitely plan on getting wedding insurance and know abou the alcohol permit. I found one place called the Antheia ballroom, it’s absolutely perfect in every way other than the distance, its too far away. Does anyone know of any place closer? It doesn’t have to be a banquet hall, just looking for any nice space that allow both those things. I appreciate any suggestions and advice.
I am currently a wedding specialist at a beautiful property in the east coast of the United States. I am looking to rework some of the packages that we offer our brides. Im thinking the best way to offer what brides want is to ask the Bride 
So…. Say you were paying a per person package price of $70 per person and our package included Room fees, Dinner, Linens including chaircovers and a dance floor. What else would you like to see included in your package? And also, what do you want to see in the Wedding Specialist to make your decision on that package?
My Fiance and I are looking for a rustic and/or quaint venue for a wedding ceremony and reception this Summer. We are inviting approximately 70 people and expect somewhere in the high 40s attending.
I like the idea of a barn, airy restaurant…something along those lines.
I have looked into Fort Edmonton Park but it doesn’t seem like there are any venues that can accommodate our numbers.
Any direction is appreciated!
We were looking at wedding venues over the weekend with both sets of parents, and I absolutely fell in love with an old farm house with an empty barn that has a wedding license. Its exactly the kind of place I imagined I’d get married in, and I can picture every aspect of the day in my head, there’s just so much flexibility and potential to make the barn into whatever you want it to be.
The problem is, its expensive to hire, there are only 5 bedrooms available to use and as the barn is completely empty you have to furnish it yourself, that includes flooring, lighting, tables etc.
My fiance, my parents and his parents have all ruled it out completely because of the cost and the work involved and we’ve decided to have the wedding in a manor house instead.
I love the manor house, but I didn’t want a hotel wedding, I didnt want a sit down meal, I didnt want the rigidity of their rules. Its a lovely hotel, but its everything I didnt (don’t) want.
I’ve emailed a wedding planner that has organised weddings at the barn previously, just to see what the actual costings would be, meanwhile I’ve priced up the hotel, checked availability and called the registrar to get the ball rolling.
I feel like I’m getting swept along in booking the hotel and going through the motions, its a lovely place and is a perfect venue, but I’m not sure its perfect for the day I had in mind.
I really don’t want to be a bridezilla and demand I get my own way if it really is unaffordable, but how can I even start to compromise or negotiate on this when everyone else has already made their minds up that we’re having it at the hotel? My parents are putting in a fair portion of the budget, and my fiance and I are moving house so that we can save the rest. I don’t want to spend the next year saving for a wedding that is a carbon copy of every other wedding thats taken place at that hotel.
What do I do?
I was thinking maybe a cute little Bed and Breakfast. I found the Mast Farm Inn, in Banner Elk NC and its absolutely beautiful, I haven’t looked in person yet, I’m just trying to get ideas because our wedding will either be May 25, 2013 or June 1, 2013
Can any brides or brides to be for around that time of year give me any advice, we do know we want the ceremony held outside
I went to a wedding and the power went out for 2 hours and they didnt let the bride and groom sta any later… shouldnt places have protocol when this happens
My fiance and I are looking for the best place to get married in Indiana. We live in New Whiteland and dont mind looking about an hour away. We are looking for something outdoors, beautiful, woodsy, different. I have looked on theknot.com and I am not happy with what they have come up with. I need something different. Any ideas? Thanks!
At my venue (and two of the others I looked at), they only allow you to come in one hour before the ceremony time. I’ll already have my hair done and my bridesmaids will be dressed and ready when they get there, most likely. I’ll be getting my make up done (the girl says it takes 30-40 minutes), putting my dress/accessories on, and doing final touches on my look overall. All while my photographer is taking candids and a few he has planned.
All of the brides get only this hour, so is it enough? I think it will be tight, but I can get it done. What do you think?
hi , im getting married and i live in beverly hills california and i need a wedding venue, i’ve seen a couple of places i liked some and others not really but i just haven’t found one that i really loved does anyone have any ideas of some good venues?
im 25 and my soon to be husdnad is 28 so we want some place thats classy yet modern
