The story is set back in like the late 1800’s about a woman from the boston area, I think, whose father has gone west and is supposed to send for the rest of the family (all women) as soon as he’s settled but they stop receiving letters from him and take off out west after him. They end up in the town the father is supposed to be in to find he is missing and the woman turns to the town sheriff/salon owner/doctor (I think he was a combo of the three but can’t remember) for help finding him. She ends up pregnant by him and they get married but I think it was a fake quickie wedding because he had some problem that wouldn’t allow him to really get married. I can’t remember the ending but she got pregnant because her dad always had these backward ideas and had said that the most fertile time was right after a period so the closer you were to having it the less chance u had of getting pregnant. The man learns she is pregnant after she is hurt when they are on an outing and is knocked unconscious and he examines her. I think there was also someone like his nemesis that was following them around and may have had something to do with the fathers disappearance.
maybe in Asia they don’t finish last?
I’m not talking about rich guys but normal ones.
Those cultures maybe teach women in other ways.
In the west generally speaking nice guys finish last with women and are boring.
are most of them the “american and western european nice guys” who go there for women?
