Too creative is a good thing but remember it is the customer that counts when you get to organize a wedding. As others have mentioned you need experience and a portfolio to get started so ask around, volunteer do whatever it takes to get the first job.

Talk to other local wedding suppliers see if they can help you. Offer to work on a trial basis for one of the bigger companies.

Alternatively if you are bold then get a nice website, some nice business cards and boldly step out on your own. People will assume you are bigger than you are if you have the right props.
